World's First Disposable Medical Pump

The $1.5M NIH National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK)  grant funded EdenPump features a polymer muscle to dispense a sealant, drug, saline, growth factor. It can triggered by heat, vibration, external pressure, or temperature. It can be scaled to deliver up to 10 ml or more of solution, gel or gas. It operates at up to 10 psi. It is disposable and can be fabricated with 3D printing methods.  It has been clinically tested with proven for medical sealant delivery for a skin barrier product.
